When creating a new UCS by selecting an object with the above variable set to 1, the drawing keeps zooming to the extents. Is this something I have to live with or is the system variable I am looking for non-existent?

    Cheers

There is a setting in the UCS dialog that allows to set the view to plan when a UCS is changed.

Funnily enough this was unticked, so should not have been happening. After applying, then de-aplying, the view now stays the same whenever I change the UCS.

Whenever I ser ucsfollow to 1 the option to zoom to plan seems to tick itself. It wasn't doing this earlier.

EDIT: That box is actually the dialoged alternative to command line UCSFOLLOW.

I've confused myself here, but I seemed to be able to set the UCS to and object, with UCS follow set 1 and the drawing would not zoom extents.

    Strange.
