Senor Dorado
I am having a problem with basic fundamentals while using AutoCad 2007. My problem is when creating a new dwg. I can not draw a line by initiating the line command picking a starting point and then move the pointer in the required direction and then entering the required length of the line. Is this a problem caused by using the default template acad.dwt or am I forgetting to change a setting when creating a new dwg. ? rkent
More detail is needed on what problem you are seeing? Is the line not ortho, the distance entered isn't accepted, etc.? First guess is you are entering a distance in feet and inches but your UNITS are set to decimal. Hit escape a few times and type UNITS at the command line and pick architectural, now try line again. If non-ortho line is the problem either pick the ortho or polar button at the very bottom of the screen.
