keithshapiro
I've searched unsuccessfully and probably because I don't know the best way to find what I'm looking for. I build cabinets and use Autocad in a very light fashion. Having a dimension displayed that is 1' - 8" I would like the dimension to simply display 20" and I can't figure out the variable or command to make this happen. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great! Thanks Keith
ReMark
Welcome to the CADTutor forum keith. This question has been asked and answered a number of times. Check some of the similar threads listed below. It is not a variable. You'll have to modify your dimension style.
Bill Tillman
There are numerous methods to handle this. The easiest would be to simply select the dimension(s) you want to convert and then right click, select Properties. When the Properties window opens look under the Primary Units section. Change the Dim Units setting from Architectural to Decimal or Fraction. This will give you what you're after.
Cad64
Actually, the easiest way is to just create a dimension style that dimensions in inches only.
