Never had this problem before. Am trying to convert 2 texts to mtext (they're not already).says "conversion failed" or something similar (can't remember the exact error message). Normally works.

forgive a stupid question, are you sure they are Texts? not blocks or anything? have you tried converting them one by one? Can you do it with any other Text? HAv you restarted your AutoCAD? Restarted your computer?

Converting them one by one works. Converting them together does not. They're not blocks.

Are they very much non-similar? Although according to the Express tools help, that doesn't seem to affect the command..

is it just these two? Would it work with two other texts?

I'm schtumped.... according to the Express Help, the file associated with the command is Leaderex.arx in C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\Express - you could try to exchange that file for one from somone elses machine, where the TXT2MTXT works.
