Weird problem i go and draw out my parcel with a pline. I go to the top pul down and select create parcel from object. I go in select all of the options in there and what pops up is not right. It is labeling the parcel with inch dimensions and putting the foot symbol after it. I need them to be in feet. I have tryed to attach whats going on but the file is to large every way i try. If any one can help it would be greatly appreciated.

In Toolspace > Settings rt-clk on the drawing name (probably at the top). Select Edit Drawing Settings. Your Drawing units should be in Feet.

They are. Ive tried that about 20 times. All of this I did in the master view. Also when i input the lengths, they automatically are in inces i have to go in and put a foot symbol in does that have any thing to do with what is going on ?

it's in the settings in toolspace. check under dimensions/distance, can't remember what it's called. i had the same problem with dimensions not interpreting correctly.

I cant find that label any where down the tree. I did just figure out that if i draw the object and dont put a foot symbol after the distance, the line is in inches. When i dimension, it shows up as like 8' 3.55" then when I create parcell from object it puts the label on as 99.55'. that cant be right.

This is what my instructor told me to have in there so I hope this part is right. Dont you love when a school has someone teaching something that they have no clue about.

It might be something in your Dimstyle. Open up Dimension Style Manager and check your Primary Units tab.

Try setting your units to Decimal instead of Engineering.

But when turning in to a parcel those labels are not a dim style are they? Just because i have no idea which dim style it would be using. And it makes it part of the pline I have to xplode it to get rid of the parcel.

I created a copy of the standard Dim style and changed it to decimal. Only effect is that when I create a normal dimension it uses decimal.

That was my next thought. We always use decimal units instead of engineering.

Is that dim in paperspace? If so, what's the viewport scale?
