zegoat Posted April 3, 2009 Share Posted April 3, 2009 Hi. I am new to AutoCAD so this may be a simple fix with a setting but I am having difficulty switching off text that exists on other layers. The layers in question are frozen/ or off, and other object like lines are not shown, but the text still shows up. Had this have been a block I could understand as different layers could exist. The interesting thing is - even though I can see the text on screen, I cannot highlight it with cursor and it does not print. Any ideas ? zegoat Posted April 3, 2009 Author Share Posted April 3, 2009 Ok... I think I have found a way round it - but no idea what is the root cause. All the text I am having issues with have the style "STANDARD", if I apply a different text style, say "simplex", then reset to my named view it works. Layers are then displayed properly. Can't understand why this is happening... I have attached an image, text items at the top left are hidden and locked on the current view but appear vaguely on screen.
