Point numbering in LD04

I usually number the corners of the lot I survey clockwise 1,2,3....
Then I need to number the control points with 1001, 1002....
Normally, I let it number all points in sequence, then i go into points>edit points.
Is there an easier way to do this?

You can renumber a selection of points by a specified number. (ie: +100 or -516)

The version of Softdesk I was using had an on/off automatic type of numbering system. Open up one layer and you saw all the numbers, plus those you did not want as they were sort of temporary.

Overall to me was sort of annoying, as got numerous point numbers for one position.
