Hi first i wanto to apologize because my english
i prefer use spanish but forums like this in spanis aren't common.

Well mi problem is that i need to do certain machine in autodesk inventor, i have the specifications of the machine and it include some ACME screws and using the Thread tool in inventor i don't have the ACME option.
I read in the autodesk forums that i need to add something to my autodesk, something like an .xls file, but they don't tell me anything else.

i was wondering if someone hace this file for inventor 2009, and where exactly i need to put this file in order to be recognized by inventor

any help will be appreciated, maybe you have another idea, please don't hesitate and tell me
my deadline is soon and my teacher don't want to say a word. he told me that in internet i have a lot of help.

    Thank You

    1st, Io non habla espanol!!

I modelled an acme thread by the following:
    1. make a shaft
    2. apply a work axis
    3. expand origin and make YZ Plane visible
    4. Right Mouse Button and start New Sketch on the plane
    5. Slice Graphics (F7) and Project Geometry (all)
    6. Sketch an acme thread profile on one side of the sliced view, constrain and dimension it. You will need aa engineer's reference book for the thread sizes.
    7. Return and use Coil to build the thread. Your new thread sketch is the profile and the axis is the Work Axis. Coil will let you make as many revolutions as you need, you can experiment with the pitch until it looks right, or set it to the value from the reference book. Leave the coil ends natural.
    Hope this helps.
