Hi all

I am trying to create a report from a simulation study I have recently done. The problem i am having is when the report is generated there is no images attched to it (i.e of my model etc I though it did this automatically).

When I go back and select insert image it says it can not find any and nothing happens.

Can any1 shed any light on this for me.

Thanks in advance

I dont remember the exact procedure off hand but you can take screen shots of the images to be included in the report. Ill have to create one to remember exactly where the button is.

here is a flow test. the little disc looking icon with the color bar is how you snap images to include in the report(with flowXpress). Is this for the simulationPro you are working with or something else? If you are running a stress analysis with SimXpress the reaction force/deformation plots will automatically be included.

Yes sorry should have been a bit more clear. I am using the simulation study. I am doing a static study, in the past as you say the images have just been added to the document automatically. For some reason though on this occasion i only get the text results in a report format and no images.

The images I need are thinkgs like: -

Strain

Displacement

Stress

Factor of Safety

etc...

are the images there, can you view them? When you create the report there are options like Intro, conclusion, etc. There isnt one for images right? Are you generating an html report or printer friendly version? Is this SimPro? or SimXpress?

The images are there when I run the study and i can go though the different ones (i.e stress, Factor of Safety etc). But when I come to generate the report the images are not included.

I am using Simulationexpress and i am creating a word document (although I have tried a HTML as well and there was no inclusion of images in that either).

I have attached a document (doc3) that shows you the error message I am getting. To get to that point I right cicked report, insert image, selected my image and then re-published the report.

I have also attached doc4 which shows that I have checked the 'include images' box in the initial report setup.

i get to that setup by selecting the simulation drop down menu and selecting report.

Once the report dialog box opens I click on study results (in the included sections list).

I have sorted the problem thanks now, it must have just been a bug in the software or something.

I un-installed the simulation program then re-installed it. it is working fine now.

Thanks for your help anyway.
