Paula
If I draw a 3D dome how can a turn a section of it into a flat piece with real dimensions? I tried the flatshot but gave me a picture of an arch and not quite what I needed, it was not a flat objetc. Any ideas.
kencaz
Divide the circumference of the sphere by 2. This will give you the diameter of the flattened dome. Draw a line the equal to the diameter in length. Draw a 2 point circle from each end of the line. Now you can do a polar array to divide it into how ever many sections you like. You can also use explode the flatshot you created. Select the arc for the dome and use "List" to get the length of the arc, and make your circle, (base of the dome), that diameter. Hope this helps. runninghead
Wouldn't these segments be distorted?
