Drawing Masonry

Recommended Posts

In the attached drawing I would like to get rid of the solid lines surrounding the masonry hatch. The only way I can think to do this is by using Sketch to outline the masonry. This is very time consuming. Is there a better way?

If any one knows of any blocks I could use please let me know.

Thanks everyone.

You want the masonary to be hidden?

No, I don't want the masonry hidden I just want the outline of the masonry hatch to look more rock-like; instead of a straight line.

Thanks for the help.

Where did you get the hatch pattern from? Is it a pre-installed AutoCAD pattern?

I have some software called Stone CAD 5, made to be used with AutoCAD, and it creates a great Hatch Pattern...

Do you want me to hatch this for you and send it back to you?

The hatch came from the internet somewhere. It seems to match what the customer is looking for. The hatch isn't really the problem. I just don't like the solid straight line that surrounds the hatch.

On the attached elevation I erased the surrounding line and used the Sketch command to manually draw the outside of the rocks. This takes a long time. I was just looking for a quicker way. Maybe I'm being too fussy!
