    Default converting 2D floor to 3D models

    Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    Can some one tell me how to convert 2D floor to 3D models? Please tell me step by step.

    First, I suggest that you look/search for online tutorials on how to create 3D objects in ACAD. Try browsing here: http://cadtutor.net/acad/general/resource/resource.html

    This is a quick one...
    1. Make sure the floor has no open ends, meaning, it should be a closed shape ie. a rectangle
    2. Type REGION, select all floor objects/lines and Enter to exit the command.
    3. Type EXTRUDE, pick the newly created region, input desired height, press Enter twice.

    Just got back to AutoCAD. Modeling directly in C4D.

    If you have elevations already drawn you could convert to blocks, then by changing ucs insert them over floor plan using appropriate ucs. You can also create true 3d walls using thk polylines and specifying height
