There should be 3 tabs in the lower left corner of the screen.

Model, layout 1 & layout 2. (the layout tabs names may be changed)

Click on the model tab and select zoom extents.

If you cannon see these tabs then you will have to turn them on.

Tools>Options>Display>Layout Elements>Display model and layout tabs.

The problem is when I click on the model space and it’s blank with nothing on it, and when I press (Ctrl + A) to select all objects it seems to be nothing selected but the layout space seems to be fine with full set of drawing.

Your drawing was probably DRAWN in paper space. If you want to bring it to modelspace, you could simply copy it from Pspace, switch to Mspace and past it.

You will then have two copies of you drawing. One in Model and one in Paper. If you no longer want the on in paper space you could delete it at that point. (althought I would recomend you to keep a copy of the original file somewhere just in case)

Hope this helps!:D

I have copied and pasted on the model space but the drawing now seems to be really big, I just can see the first line of it.

CHSPACE command will do it for you :)

1. Enter CHSPACE

2. Select Object

Ps : Make sure there is active model space viewport in layout.

You also might be too zoomed in on the drawing.

You can use the zoom command.

Type Z for Zoom

and then E for Extents

This should zoom out to show you the entire content of you drawing

PS:Vinob that CHSPACE is really great! I had never heard of it before. Thanks for the info!
