Hi there,

I'm trying to make 3d object in two ways using extrude and sweep command, it's made from same path with same size (see picture below). But, after compare this two results, there's little different between them. The first object using extrude command has precision dimension but the other one using sweep command has imprecision dimension. Is there anyone know how to make the right path for sweep command so can get precision dimension ?, because some objects can't be made from extrude command (especially twist object). Thanks for help! :)

I don't get the same results with Sweep that you did. Did you have the profile aligned with the path? Turn off delobj and create the sweep again and attach the file here.

Yes, i did. I have the profile align with the path, but it's not in 3D rotated before sweep. Today i'm trying to rotate the profile using 3D rotate just like extrude and now have perfect result with precision dimension. So why it didn't work if the profile is not rotated in 3D first? (but it works if the profile is not a half round). Thanks for help.:)

When you are using the sweep command, the command line has a few options for you like twist, align... You can sweep the profile without aligning it first(and thats where your problem was coming from I think). So say you had a square that was 1x1 but it was 45degrees off from your path, you wouldnt get a square anymore, but rather a rectangle when you sweep the path.
