    Default Text height

When using the "text" command one is asked for the text height. If I choose let's say 10, will this text be the same size as a normal font size of 10 in other applications such as Word? Or does AutoCAD measure text size differently? My problem is this:

I have a Word document written with size 10. I'm using AutoCAD to create a small graphic to go in the document. This graphic is very small, about 20x20 mm, still there should be plenty of room in there for a letter of size 10. But apparently, AutoCAD thinks that text size is measured in mm, cause when I type, the letter covers half the graphic and is approxematly 10 mm high. And we all know that a font size of 10 is not usually a whole centimeter in height...what can I do to make sure that the text I write in this graphic will be of equal size to that in my document?
If at first you don't succeed - remove all evidence you ever tried.

AutoCAD text heights are measured in whatever your drawing units are set to -- when you type "10", you get 10 inches, 10 millimeters, or whatever. If you want a height that corresponds to a particular point size, you'll have to calculate it yourself. (I think it's either 72 points/inch, or 96...can't quite remember.)

"1 point" size in Word is equivalent to a quarter of a millimeter.
