Bthecory
I'm trying to make some cut views. I need to isolate some objects in one viewport without my other viewports being effected. How do I go about doing this?? I'm using CAD-Mech also
ReMark
Are all the objects on the same layer?
Bthecory
No...Different layers. I've drawn a duct system for a whole floor. I need to do cut views for some risers and other stuff. When I do "isolate objects in viewports" It will isolate the object on all of the viewports. I cant seem to get around this. I'm trying to have several vports on one page, with each vports having it's own objects isolated
Danse_Macabre
You have to do a 'viewport freeze' on the layers that you do not want to see. Isolating layers will always turn off the layers in model space, meaning all viewports will be effected. If you are inside of a viewport use the 'viewport freeze' button in the layer manager, this will turn off that layer in the current viewport only. It is the button just to the right of the freeze/thaw button. Hopefully I have explained that well enough.....
mbrandt5
Can this be accomplished with objects on the same layer in a different manner?
ReMark
Can this be accomplished with objects on the same layer in a different manner? All objects are on the same layer yet you want to isolate just some of the objects in one of the viewports?
halam
Turn on vp transparency bylayer 100%. Set the ones you wish to see on objectlevel on 0%., Will that do the trick?

halam
You can manipulate view visibility with layers *and* transparancy..
Organic
Turn on vp transparency bylayer 100%. Set the ones you wish to see on objectlevel on 0%., Will that do the trick? That is an interesting idea I never would have thought of.
