Removing under laying objects

muck

Recommended Posts

If you want to clean a drawing of overlapping text lines & objects what is the best way.

Examples are text that is overlapping in some areas of a drawing but

not in other areas. What is the best way to erase the underlaying objects

but keep the top objects.

Thank you

There's Express Tools' Textmask command; or if it's Mtext, use Background Mask. These don't erase the underlying entities, just mask them.

Be warned that weird things happen when you try to create a pdf when using text masks. Sometimes the text masks come out black after printing a pdf, it's something that has frustrated me quite a bit lately.

What about underlaying entities you don't want to be there. Like a "D" on top of a "D"

A line on top of a identical line. Underlaying entities that should not be there.
