    Default Licensing trial version

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

Our company had a 2006 upgrade disk that went missing along with the original install disk. I now have a new computer and would like to transfer my license from the old computer. Can I download a trial version of 2006 and install the license from the old computer on the new computer with the trial version?

You might give it a try and see what happens. What do you have to lose?

You weren't expecting to go this route were you? If not, just exactly how were you going to load a trial version and then "activate" it?

"PLU is available only with multi-seat stand-alone deployments."

    Does this describe your situation?

I have a standalone locked license. I also figured that if I uploaded the trial software there would some how to license that trial version. As per the link that you provided it says "The PLU works only with standalone software-locked products that use Autodesk Product Activation technology."

You should probably contact AutoDesk and ask.

Explain your problem and cry a bit.

So where do you stand at the moment? What have you done, if anything, since your posts of August 13th?

Have you tried calling your local authorized AutoDesk reseller?
