AutoCAD LT 2010 - Properties

I am using AutoCAD LT 2010 and have come across a rather frustrating problem, to which I am sure there must be a simple solution (although I have no clue what this solution actually is). When I am using AutoCAD and I have the properties bar open on the left which displays dimensions, layers, text size, location, etc. for whatever I currently have selected it occasionally stops displaying properties for whatever I have selected. At the top of the properties bar it says "No Selection" but as far as I can tell I have something on the drawing selected (it becomes dashed and has blue boxes on the corners and such). The most recent time this has happened I was placing an annotation and then changed the text size and moved the location (using the mouse/boxes not the properties window). I might have also pressed esc afterwards. I have no clue how to get access to the properties without restarting autocad.

unless you have changed it, CH will bring up properties and right clicking an object and selecting properties also works, there are probably numerous other ways those are the two i use. as far as not recognizing that you have something selected, i havent experienced it and have no idea why it would respond that way.

Do you need access to all the properties or would using Quick Properties be sufficient?

I guess it depends on what I am changing. For example on my quick properties block scale factor doesn't appear, so if I want to change the scale I have to use the full properties window. Also I'm not sure if I can use quick properties when it won't allow me to select things. I think I can't, but I'll take note next time I have the problem.
