CADnewbie Posted August 28, 2009 Share Posted August 28, 2009 I continuously have issues with AutoCAD fonts; in particular, Times New Roman will appear bold and fuzzy on one text item (doesn't matter if it is mtext or dtext) in the same document and crisp and smooth in another item (both items have same properties and the Match Properties command doesn't work on them). Also Arial font will print poorly to PDF (even at 1200 dpi; characters are thickened and uneven; most notable in the "i"s and "l"s). Properties of both text items appear to be correct. Can anyone explain the issues to me? Does AutoCAD really use True Type fonts? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You saved our company from having to do a major overhaul on the fonts we used in our AutoCAD drawings!!! chelsea1307 changing the "z" value for the Arial font didn't work...but definitely thank you!!! for the "z" value with the Times New Roman font!
