Im working on some plans where im showing a lot of joist and im using a dim with text in it to descripe the joist and such well the joist were going through my text and I would prefer it didnt so i used wipeout, set display order so it looked the way I wanted. but when I xref that file into another file my draworder is ignored and the wipeout is on top of everything, is their anything i can do to fix this. How can i set the display order so it stayes when i xref? Any help would be appreacited greatly.

I've found that actually creating the item last, rather than using draworder, is more reliable for it to remain "on top" when xrefing.

So the items you don't want masked, bring to top by copying on top of themselves, then erase the original (previous). With luck they will remain unmasked upon xreffing.

Thanks for the reply ill try that thanks. Do you know of anyway to do a text mask with dims in the same manner that you do with text.
