Default Plotting 3d solids with shading on

I'm using AutoCAD 2002, and I want to plot some 3D solids with shading on (to an eps, to bring into an Adobe Illustrator drawing). When I plot with the blocks rendered with flat shading, edges on, the plot preview is just the wireframe. Any suggestions?

I would shade the image as required then type in the SAVEIMG command. This will save the image as seen on the screen to a required filename (I think you can only save as BMP, TIFF and JPEG) Could you then re-save as an EPS?????

What I'm doing is saveimg. What you have on screen is saved as a .bmp file. Then you print it.
So quick bright things come to confusion...

do a viewport in pspace, right click on viewport, go to properties and enable shading. should work.
