    Default File is not opening on another computer

    Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    i have the same version of Autocad 2005 both at home and and office...But when i try to work at home...files are not opening in my home computer...i am tired of working in office until late hours...please help...

    try File > Drawing Utilities > Recover

    You need to be more specific. Are they not opening at all?

    If they don't open at all, it can be many issues. Do you get an error.

    My guess is that your support file paths are different from work/home.

    Do these files contain external references, images, fonts, etc. that aren't making home with the DWG file(s)?

    Are you putting these drawings on a USB stick or CD-ROM and trying to open from there?

    Are you opening them directly from the office over a VPN?

    What exactly does "files are not opening" mean? Fatal error?, invalid DWG?
