How to make 3D to 2D

Hello,

Well Im using autocad 2010, How can I make a 3d drawing to 2D?

I have an example in Attach, I want to do exactly like that.

I don't know how to use autocad, so please can you explain step by step?

Hi Torontolo, one solution would be the solprof command:

Click on the layout tab
Make an mview window (enter mview and draw a rectangle on the paper)
Your model should become visible within the window.
If not, enter zoom and option all (button: a magnifying glass with a sheet)
Choose the view with 3dorbit (button: a green plante with orbiting moon)
Rather: Use the buttons in the View toolbox (cubes with one side blue)
ESC
Enter solprof.
Prompt all options.
Go back to model view (click Model tab)
Find a 2d-drawing visible and hidden lines on 2 new layers.
Change the hidden layer to grey or hide.

Other options include Flatshot and the combination of SolView and SolDraw.

Also, SECTION and SECTIONPLANE works well.

Hi Draughtsman,

go with the solid volumes if they're sufficient for your needs; they always work, also in export. In architecture, the're useful to make lists for masses of concrete slabs, brick walls or earth to be excavated, if you nicely draw everything in its own layers. Make sections and flatshots to derive plans and elevations of complicated buildings and so on. On which kind of projects do you work?

Have you tried looking in your AutoCAD Help files?

Basically speaking with 3D Rotate there is a rotate tool that appears and it is used to restrain the rotation about the X, Y and Z axis.
