DaMieN
Hi all.. I've got a problem about tapered holes and threads. I created a (ISO) M6 tapered hole on a surface of part 1. Then I created another part (part 2) which is a simply a bolt that has threads of ISO M6. Finally i try to make an assembly with them. But my problem had started there. After defining constraints, i did an "Interference Analyze"; and found out that there is an interference between threaded surfaces of part 1 and part 2. Is it normal or i'm making a mistake while defining constraints.. Hope you help me: ] Thanks..
ReMark
Sounds like something Inventor guru J.D.Mather might be able to assist you with. Let me give this thread a "bump". Perhaps he'll see it.
MarkFlayler
When the Hole is modeled it uses the Minor Diameter of the hole for representation. When you modeled your bolt it was probably major diameter. This interference is normal to show engagement of threads. If you wish to change this method you can go to your part templates' document settings and change the setting on the model tab for Hole diameter creation.
