Computer-dependent layers?

Here's my situation:

On my computer, there are 5 layers from a referenced file that do not display. Opening the referenced file separately also reveals that these layers do not show up. In both cases, the 5 layers are ON and unfrozen within the layer manager.

On a co-worker's computer, there is no problem within these files. The 5 layers appear as they should.

We are both running AutoCAD 2007, and are loading the files from the same network directories.

What are the possible causes for only 5 of the many layers to NOT be showing up on my screen?

Thanks,

Dave

The referenced file is topography from a surveyor, which started out as a Microstation (.dgn) file. We had to convert it to .dwg for the purposes of the client. The layers in question are contour lines/text.

How do I compare the differences in object enablers/service packs that are installed between the two office computers?
