isometric view

Recommended Posts

Snap > Style > Isometric. Accept the vertical spacing default or change it to one that suits you. To disable it use the F9 ket to toggle it off (or back on). Your Ctrl + E keys will change the IsoPlane. Refer to AutoCAD Help while you at it too.

You do plan on drawing everything full size in model space don't you?

Good night.

As well as what reMark correctly said, if you frequently do isometrics then I recommend you model the piping in 3D then take the isometric views from the model. It'll save you a lot of headaches for the future.

I agree with what Hugh said as I have now started to do my isometrics in this manner as well. zli_gli, do you have any experience using 3D?
