Default PC Specs for auto CAD

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

what are the requirements that your PC needs to run autoCAD 2009?

I have a Lenovo desk top with 2G of RAM a dual core, and 266 HD space, 7 out of 10 of what my idea of smooth is.

I also have a Asus Laptop loaded with 2009, got 4G of RAM and 500 HD space... runs 4 out of 10, I'd rather use the 4 year old Lenovo, but use it anyway to learn 09.

even thought the laptop is 2x as strong as the laptop, is there a reason why it doesn't run so smooth? it's starting to dig into my efficiency and making me feel like less of a man.... any ideas to why it's like that?

    Thanks

probably down to the video card, laptops sometimes have poor video cards and some even share the ram.

I agree with paul1966, most likely the video card.

My Lenovo T-60 Thinkpad™, although two+ years old,
    runs 2005 and/or 2007 like a champ.

The T-60 has an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 video card.
The screen on the laptop is crystal clear, excellent for extended viewing.
Perhaps not best of the best but, very nice indeed.
I'm not a gamer, just AutoCAD, M$ Office programs, email 'n web surfin'.

I've used perhaps most major brands of desktops 'n laptops.
I don't work for Lenovo but, recommend their products to all. Great machines!
Lenovo's tech support is 2nd to none too.
