    Default 2006 Block Editor

in Acad2005, block editor opened with the drawing in the background. I found that very useful. in 2006, block editor opens in a separate yellow window. is there a way I can see the drawing where the block is inserted, in background, as in ACAD 2005?

You are confusing BEDIT with REFEDIT.

BEDIT is new to 2006 and is for creating/editing dynamic blocks (although it works fine for any block)
REFEDIT is still for editing blocks in place.

Just what it says. You cannot REFEDIT an anonymous block.
