    Default Viewport Question

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    Hey Everyone,

I am currently running AutoCAD 2004 LT. I am wondering if it is possible to have a drawing in paperspace with multiple viewports. Now its not that simple. Each viewport has to show a different saved drawing. I know I can do this by copying the drawings into model space but I am wondering if its possible to do it otherwise.

    Thanks

If it is the entire drawing you wish to plot, then you can insert them into paperspace, otherwise model space with viewports. This may be one better instances for XREF usage in lieu of insert. -David

    Open a blank drawing.
Xref in each of your "different saved drawing(s)"
    Create a layout for each.

    Thanks Everyone,

The Xref idea works perfectly. Never even thought about it
