Linetype 'Batting' problem.

Hello all!

I'm very new to AutoCad and a huge problem, I haven't been able to overcome, has occured. I'm using AutoCAD 2008 and I'm trying to use the linetype Batting for insulation, however, whenever I open up my document the linetype 'Batting' has turned into a regular line. So I need to click on all these 86 pieces of lines one by one to turn them back into 'Batting', without any use since they all turn back into regular line once I close AutoCAD and open the file again.

I really hope anyone of you can help me. I've spent days trying to find a solution to this problem but I haven't managed to do it. Thanks a lot in advance. I'm kind of hurry with a school project, and 'Batting' has just wasted my time for too long.

Thanks!

When you open your drawing, and see all your batting lines as straight lines, have you tried zooming in a bit and then doing a Regen?

Your lines were probably there all the time, and you only have to do a Regen to regain their shape.

Hey guys.

I have run into a problem. Yet again with linetypes. Namely, when I'm going into paper "mode", it doesn't show linetypes such as zig-zag and batting. There's just the regular line. I've tried using regen there as well, but it doesn't seem to work. They will only reappear when I manually double-click on each of the lines, but then there's another problem - all the lines seem to be out of proportion.

I really hope you can help me.

OK. I just found out how to make all the linetypes to re-appear in paper mode, however, I still can't figure out, why they looks so out of proportion. When AutoCAD is in model mode, everything seems alright, the 'batting' is nicely inside the wall like it's supposed to be. Whenever I click on paper, it looks at least twice as big. Is there anything I could do about it?

Edit: Thanks for the reply anyway, eldon. :) I hope someone will be able to help me as well. I don't want to be printing out a paper that's only batting on it. :D

EDIT: OK, I worked that one out too :_D Sorry for spamming the forum.

then you drawing in model space it depends on drawing size then you moving to paper space. I mean you have to change line type.

go to format - linetype and there you can make whatever you want, hope it helps.:D
