alijahed
Hi All, I want to locate a block library and once autocad loaded I have all of them on the insert list to drop. What I did so far: I create a folder and put my blocks in there in Tools>Options>File>support file search path, I addressed that folder but for calling those blocks I have to know the name of them and type them after using "-Insert" command which is when I using "Insert" command those blocks are not coming on the list to choose them from, which is really easier. I should be wrong, but what's the point then for using "Tools>Options>File>support file search path"!!! Cheers Ali
tzframpton
Just create the block library with Design Center so you can use Tool Palettes for this.... much easier.

There's really no point. I'm sure there's a reason and it's probably because the blocks in the support path is kinda "seen" by AutoCAD when the program starts up, so when using the INSERT command the blocks will appear in the list, but that information is held in the Tool Palettes when you create them (not to mention you can HIGHLY customize/organize the Tool Palettes to your specific needs). Hope that clears it up for ya a bit.
