salmonrose
Hi, First time in this forum and I am a beginner with AutoCAD. I have a question. I am drawing some lines by using the 'line" command. How can I set those lines to be drawn to "bylayer" colours? Right now, the layer colour is set to 40. When I draw a new line, it is set to colour "green". Thanks.
chulse
In the Properties Dialog, with nothing selected, change the color to "By Layer" All new objects will be drawn with this setting. You will need to change it for existing objects by selecting them and doing the same thing. Oh, and welcome to the forum and to AutoCAD! Tiger
To open the Properties box, go to the menu Modify and clixck Properties. Or type PR. Welcome
CarlB
Or if you like to use the command line, type "color" then the color number or name (so "bylayer")
