malevy
Hello.. I am trying to export a few revit 2010 sheets into autocad 2010 but if i try to dimension the dwg file in autocad the sizes are way off.. example the outside wall dimensions should be like 20' and its now dimensioning in autocad like 5'. Please help this is a semester project that i have due next week and i wasn't expecting this roadblock. Probably something simple but I cannot figure it out. thank you
qabulin
This is how I do it... let me know if it works for you: Within Revit I export the file to be used by AutoCAD as a .dxf format (you typically have better luck with .dxf). Within the AutoCAD file, I go to Insert >> Reference >> Attach. After selecting the Revit exported .dxf, I pay close attention to the options in the "Attach External Reference" dialog window that has popped up, particularly the scale. It's typically best to not specify anything "On-screen" unless you just HAVE to re-orientate the placement within the CAD application. Check it out and let me know. Cheers!! ^_^
