bobthebuilder
I need to draw an arch which is 46 feet long, the radius is 32 feet, and the delta is 80 degrees. Can someone help me draw this arch?
ReMark
Is this what you're looking for? Warning: Down and dirty. Arch.dwg Saved in 2000 file format.
seakco
how do you draw an arch given the radius, the length of the arch and the delta of the arch. can anyone help
lpseifert
Unless the length and delta are in agreement with the radius, you can't. The length of a curve with a delta of 80 degrees and a radius of 32 gives an arc length of 41.14 (chord) or 44.68 (arc length). Only 2 of the parameters are needed to create the arc. spikes2020
Draw lines that are at 80 degrees and find the point that they are the distance you need appart. then draw an arc connecting the two points with the correct radius... Or if its the length of the arc then use the arc length formula.
