Mikey
I am operating ACAD2008. I am trying to customize my toolbars by Tools - Customize - Interface where I create my personalized toolbars. My problem is that when I select a button image to represent a certain command, half the time said button image automatically changes to something completely different when I hit Apply. Oddly enough, I can anticipate what different image will show up by hitting Button Image Edit. The different button image will appear in the edit window. How can I make my selected button image remain after hitting apply?

Mikey
Mrbucket, thanks for the response. Unfortunately, there is no SAVE option. Once you select the button image you can only APPLY and then CLOSE. As mentioned, once I select the image I want I can select Button Image Edit and see that my selected image is something entirely different - and that is what shows up when I hit apply. There does not appear to be a way to incorporate my selected button image within the edit window. Any suggestions?
mrbucket
Sorry, this may be a repeat, you are using CUI command, then toolbars, locate your custom toolbar or wherever your button is being placed, click on button, edit menu on right, image preview of toolbar top right......... *edit* button in image area? Mikey
I follow the following procedure: Tools - Customize - Interface which pulls up five windows - a 'Customization in all CUI files' window and a 'Command List' window on the left, a 'Toolbar Preview' window, a 'Button Image' window and a 'Properties' window on the right. I double click on 'Toolbars' in the CUI files which pulls up all of the loaded toolbars and my various 'custom' toolbars that I created. Lets say I wanted to add a new button (command) to one of my custom toolbars. I scroll down the Command List and click on the desired command. I then go over to the Button Image box and find the image I want to assign to that button. I select the image and it automatically appears next to the command in the Command List and it also appears in the Button Image box. I then drag and drop the new command up into the desired toolbar in the CUI file. I then hit APPLY and the new command button appears on my AutoCad work screen. Here's the problem - sometimes the actual button image I selected appears and sometimes some completely different image appears on my workpage. Is there an easier way to create a custom toolbar? or is there something I am doing wrong with the customization?
mrbucket
It sounds like you are doing it right. Do you select the command or drag and drop into the toolbar you want it placed?
