kari_sinkko
Hi, Is there a way of aligning your view to a face of an object. I have a complex rhs beam that I'm creating and using flatshot to create snapshots of it and dimensioning these. I've used Inventor and that program feeds of aligning your view to that face. BIGAL
"UCS" user co-ordinate system allows you put your drawing plane on say any face of a 3d object Simple you can set say a 90 rotation about x axis by UCS X 90, a more complicated ucs attached to a face by pick 3 points in a 3d view (set x axis set y). The only trick to remember is you must type "plan" to make the new UCS the current darfting plane and you now look at at it square to the screen. A good idea is to save the ucs setting for reuse UCS S. To return to normal view "UCS W PLAN"
