anndrenaline
Ive exported a dwg file from 3ds max to use it in autocad. The problem is i cant use the sectionplane command to generate sections. I think the issue here is that its not solid? or is there another method to get my sections
johnnybean
From 3Ds max it will be mesh face and section plane only works on solids. I was exporting drawings to 3Ds file then reopening it into autocad as it converted all solids to meshs and I could stretch them however meshs appear to be limited as far as section and solprof commands . I Would like to know if anyone has lisp routine or knows of any way to turn mesh objects back into solids somehow ??
ReMark
Take a look in the CADTutor AutoLISP Archive. I think there is a mesh-to-solid lisp routine there.
