    How do I stretch say a circle on the face of a block to form a boss on the face?

    I don't think AutoCAD will let the user stretch a circle.

    Are you doing a 2D isometric drawing or drawing in 3D?

    If 2D isometric drawing you draw an ellipse on the face of the block, then copy that circle away from the face, draw lines connecting the two, trim what shouldn't show,...
