MText will wrap by default. Problem is that when you give it no width it will not unless you go in and hit 'ENTER' where you want it to wrap.

Best bet is to give it a width (you cannot change text width factor for MText entities) and this will wrap the text to the boundaries you have set.

If you have MText that has no width just pick it, bring up the properties window and set a random width. You can then pick the grips to change the width.

My mtext works just fine its the mtext within the leader command thats giving me trouble. When i use leader my mtext their has no wrap (0 width) and i have to go to the properties box and set a random width so that i can grip and drag the text. What i would like is to eliminate having to go to the properties box and set a random with so that i can change the text. What im hopeing is that their is a var or place to change the mtext width within the leader. (i dont care what the width is i just need a width)

PLEASE I hope someone knows how to correct this because its driving me nuts

Do a leader and when it first comes up it should say
'Specify first leader point, or [Settings] <Settings>:'
Just hit enter. On the Annotation tab in the upper right it should have an option to check 'Prompt for MText Width'. If this option is grayed out then unselect Left Justify and it will no longer be grayed out.

Aren't you referring to the QLEADER command? Where <Settings> option is available. Not so w/ LEADER command.

For Qleader, the mtext attaches itself to the leader. Try dragging (up & down) the two top grips of the mtext & see what happens. For leader, mtext is independent from the leader.

Over here, leader and qleader both create text attached to the leader -- leader just has more options than qleader, like [Annotation/Format] (for tolerances and things).
