Default Feint text in MTEXT window in AutoCAD 2004.

I remember applying a solution to the problem of very feint looking text in the MTEXT window in AutoCAD 2000, but I can't remember what the fix was. Can anyone help with a solution for the same problem, but in AutoCAD 2004?
