gouraud shaded

I need to revise some of my old drawings, They're made by using Autocad 2004. The solid parts are set to gouraud shaded with index color 254.

The problem is, when I reopen it by Autocad 2008 the solid part looks darker than by Autocad 2004. I checked the index color and it's still 254.

The questions are,

1. What causes it? although I didn't change the setting.

2. Is there an option setting for gourauded shaded at Autocad 2004?

3. If there is,

where do I find it? so I can change my visual styles at Autocad 2008

accordance to Autocad 2004.

Thank you for help!

Yes, I want to set my drawing "Autocad 2008" to -shade mode (gouraud shaded), but there's no -shademode on it but only visual styles manager.

Is there a properties manager to check -shade mode (goroaud shaded) setting at Autocad 2004?

so I can synchronize my visual styles manager at Autocad 2008 refers to -shade mode at Autocad 2004.

Is it possible to apply -shademode at Autocad 2008?

Actually I want to get silver color.

I think I got your point now JD Mather.

The different between shademode and -shademode, it's simple but a big deal.

Even though my solids are still darker than at Autocad 2004 but now I change the color index from 254 to 255. At least it's solve my problem for now.

Thank You.:)
