Crazy J
I've created a UCS to make sure some dimensions end up on the same plane as the object being dimensioned. This is a pet peeve of mine if I then orbit the model and see the dimensions all over the place. So I made the new UCS, added a dimension, checked it, and it was good. To check it, I did a 3d orbit. So to get it back to a normal view, I chose the Top View button. I went to do my next dimension, checked it, and saw it was off in space again. It appears that any time you select a new view, that you reset any UCS you may have created back to the World. Does anyone know this to be the case? And does anyone know how to set it that the UCS does not change on you depending upon which view you choose? There is probably a simple answer to this and it's probably part of the very basics of how UCS is intended to work, but I'm drawing a blank. Thanks!
