jalbes
I'm trying to update my titleblock so our Company Logo is shown. Unfortunately, the font required for the Company Name is not in everybody's font library. I'm concerned that if someone else from an outside company tries to open our file, the font will not show up as intended and default to another font. Is there a way to imbed the font, or convert the TTF font into a shape or lines? I visited this thread but nothing seems to work. http://www.cadtutor.biz/forum/showthread.php?t=36721 Get back to me. - Shaun
MikeScott
I think this is what you're looking for.. very informative thread. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?p=310126&highlight=explode+text#post310126 If not, maybe this quote or the following thread will help: I've just found out that Xplode & Explode are two different commands... I can EXPLODE my Mtexts but can't XPLODE them.... go figure! http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=44247&highlight=explode+text

I also can't "Explode" because the font style default's to something else and changes the appearance. I also can't "Xplode" the TTF text - comes up and an invalid command. Any other idea's? - Shaun
MikeScott
http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=42145&highlight=explode+text Sorry.. this is the link I meant to paste at the top. Pretty useful if you have access to illustrator.. Maybe even the timed illustrator demo, assuming they still do that. If don't want to head this route, you might consider just tracing over the letters. That's what I do when this kinda' thing comes up. I import the word(s) as a jpg file and then just trace it over using plines.

Like I said, I can't execute "TXTEXP" because I don't have Express Tools in AutoCAD LT. I also don't have illustrator to export the text. Any other solutions? You don't say if you tried the DXBOUT command which was the first thing mentioned when you follow that link. Then DXBIN to get it back 'exploded'. Then DXBIN to get it back 'exploded'. I set up a DXB printer and was able to execute "DXBOUT" but I can't execute "DXBIN". I get the following error: Unknown command "DXBIN". Press F1 for help. I guess that's the limitations for AutoCAD LT. Any other idea's?
