    BFind is also freeware; if you are unsatisfied with it then pay for a dedicated program that will handle Unicode.

    Since this program is predominantly aimed at providing users with a batch find and replace solution, restricting the operation to a selection of objects could only apply to the active drawing, since there would be no way (or at least it would be incredibly difficult) to detect that same set of objects across multiple drawings. If you necessarily require the operation performed on a selection of objects, I would recommend that you use the in-built AutoCAD Find command which offers this functionality and would also be far more robust than my program.
