MAREBER
Will someone please give me the web address for the free .dwg conversions? I am trying to open a 2010 version with a 2002 program and am not making much progress. Normally, I can open up 2004 LT and convert most things over to 2002, but this one drawing is not working. Thanks so much in advance!

MAREBER
Thanks JD. This is an hour and a half, plus download. Silly question... Is there just a website that converts without using a download? Someone mentioned this to me last week, were they mistaken?
JD Mather
You could simply attach the file here and beg....

MAREBER
What about the download from DWGgateway? Has anyone used that with success?
MAREBER
Alright... so I have been this WHOLE time downloading and installing the True View. I was able to open the dwg, but when I click on the conversion button, it does NOT recognize the command 'DWGCONVERT' Now what?
paulmcz
What about the download from DWGgateway? Has anyone used that with success? DWGgateway works just fine converting the drawing versions. I didn't test the PDF function.

mdbdesign
What about the download from DWGgateway? Has anyone used that with success? Use it for conversion between 2008 and v10 for years- never any problem. Now got 2010.
JD Mather
...it does NOT recognize the command 'DWGCONVERT' Now what? Hnmmm. Let me experiment a bit. Not sure why it isn't working for you but try _dwgconvert with the leading underscore.
mdbdesign
_dgopen instead....
MAREBER
OK, so what is strange about this program, is that I can not type in any commands. So, trying to type in '_dgopen' or '_dwgconvert' is not possible. What am I doing wrong here? Perhaps, not reading the directions first? mdbdesign
Try to reinstall it again and use toolbar button. It work for me in past same as _dgopen command. Did it shown loading when start Autocad
