3D Orbit goes black when orbiting

After creating mass elements in model space I select orbit and attempt to orbit, then my drawing space goes black.Next I press ESC to exit the orbit command and the drawing has adjusted to the new position after orbiting in the "black model space". Also when I click on my cameras within my drawing, the views do not come up in model space. The camera view window remains black. The only way I can see the 3D model is by staying in a 2D wireframe view.

Suggestions???

Sounds like a RAM or video card issue, unless you have a line or something off-screen selected when you use 3dorbit?

If you select a line, you'll only see the line rotate in the view.

Perhaps try selecting a portion (or all) of your model, and see how 3dview handles it.

Also, if the objects aren't actually 3d, and they're being viewed in 3dorbit's shade modes, they'll vanish on your too.
