eddiemg
When I move part files into new folders, the assembly they correspond to loses the part, saying it can't be found. Is there a way to RELINK a part file to the assembly it's supposed to be in so it appears again in the assembly? thanks, ed
shift1313
Instead of moving them in folders you want to Save As, At the bottom of the main save as window there is a checkbox for Save As Copy. There is also a References button. If you click the references button it brings you to another window where you can Save All as copy(everything in the document and its references). From this window you can select a folder(or create one) to place all these files in. With the current assembly with the broken references you will either need to right click on the component in the feature tree(its name since the part isnt there) and replace component or do the Save As thing. When you right click on the component you can List External References as well.
