tokie856
I'm working with Acad Map 2007. Recently I've been creating some simple 2D drawings (not a power ACad user). These have text (alpha and numeric) that I edit and upon double-clicking on the particular text or character it opens the text edit window but rotates my text/character 90 degrees. Upon closing the text editor I have to manually rotate the text/character back to horizontal. It does this every time I edit a text/character, new text or re-rotated text. I've been unable to find a setting or preference to stop this action. I've been using this software infrequently for several years and have not had this before. Anyone know how to stop this text "auto-rotate" when editting or know why it's doing it? Thanks in advance. Tokie 856.
ReMark
I don't know why it is doing it but you are not the first person to experience this phenomenon. The following might be of some help to you. It is a link to a discussion re: a problem similar to yours. One of the posters, Steve Johnson, wrote a lisp routine that corrects the problem. The routine is called EdText.lsp and you can find it in his post which is #35. Just scroll down the page. Let us know if it solves your problem. BTW...the discussion went on for four pages. I believe this link is to page 4. If you are interested you can read the entire discussion for further background info. http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=21484&page=
