Can I "mirror" the text of an attribute??

You can do so by inserting a nested block, then exploding it down one level so that a single 'free floating' text element references the attributed block.

Insert the attached block.

Explode.

Edit the attributed block (bottom right number + rectangle)

Refresh and the text element in the top left will update.

but isn't that where we were several posts back. Two independent entities that are texturally linked but no longer part of a block?

It can be inserted into a drawing so that you only type the attribute once and the text will update.

 

You can not get a block to reference values within itself, but this can be used over and over again from drawing to drawing, and multiple times within the same drawing.

I am attempting to make a block for elevations for four possible potions but only want 1 set of attributes. I've tried the field suggestion from earlier in this post with no luck.
